When studying historical or contemporary injustices, it is important to equip students with an understanding of their own agency to contribute to a more just and democratic society. This activity provides a simple framework for students to consider how “othering” or exclusion happen in the world around them and then to brainstorm actions they can take to prevent it or lessen its harmful impact.
