“Am I An American or Am I Not?” was developed in partnership with Exhibit Envoy, AGH Arts Strategies, and the Fred T. Korematsu Institute, with funding from the National Park Service Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program, Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC), the JA Community Foundation, and PwC.

This project started as an extension of the successful exhibit, "Then They Came For Me: Incarceration of Japanese Americans During WWII and the Demise of Civil Liberties," which was on display in the Presidio of San Francisco in 2019.

We are grateful to all those who contributed to the development of that foundational exhibit, starting with the original Alphawood Exhibition in Chicago. Most notably, Anthony Hirschel, who has been involved from the very beginning.
